Welcome to the new Rotary year!
I am honored to have been chosen as the Charter President of the Rotary eClub of District 7610. This is a new venture for the District and our members alike but we are all excited about the prospective reach and the wonderful impact we can have on people’s lives worldwide.
One of the unique things about the Rotary eClub of District 7610 and what enticed me to undertake this responsibility is our ability to recruit members from around the globe. This will allow us to operate not only within our district but also within those locales outside of our district and outside of the borders of the United States where our international members live.
There are many former Rotarians with us. We have Past Presidents, Past District Governors, Club Treasurers, Club Secretaries and more. We all know all too well that as charter members we have many responsibilities to those who follow us. We need to create a strong foundation ensuring our club can survive the many challenges a new Rotary club may face. We need to create procedures, bylaws and committees that are easily transitioned form one Rotary year to another. And, most importantly, we need to utilize our diversity to create and foster a club culture of fellowship, giving and understanding.
There will be missteps along the way, growing pains to work through and lots of moving parts to assemble into one coherent, motivated and productive Rotary Club but with the team we have assembled I know we can do this. Let’s make our fellow Rotarians, Clubs, District and Rotary International proud. I know we can make a difference in at least one person’s life and that, to me, would be all the reward we need.
This is an exciting time to be a Rotarian!
Yours in Service
