I am honored and excited to serve as President for the Rotary E-Club of District
7610 this Rotary year. This year Rotary International President Barry Rassin asks
us to Be the Inspiration for positive change in our club, our community and our
Our club has so much opportunity to meet President Barry’s request. Although we
operate differently from the traditional Rotary club, there are still so many ways
that we are similar. We all believe in the Object of Rotary which is “to encourage
and foster the ideal of service as a basis of worthy enterprise.” We follow the 4-
Way Test of business ethics: “Of the things we think, say or do: 1.Is it the
TRUTH? 2. Is it FAIR to all concerned? 3. Will it build GOODWILL and
BETTER FRIENDSHIPS? and 4.Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned? We
work together toward the goal of a world at peace.
Our e-club community reaches far across the globe and spans thousands of miles
but with today’s technology we can bring our Rotary community closer together.
We can be the inspiration to other clubs and our district as we lead the way in
using our resources to engage our members and exploring ways to connect our e-
club members to our district training opportunities.
We have set goals to grow our membership and increase our giving to the Rotary
Foundation. Our membership goal is to have a net gain of two new members. I
encourage all of us to be the inspiration to one person we know that could join us
on this journey of service. Our Foundation goal is $2900 to the Annual Programs
Fund, $200 to Polio Plus and the addition of one new Benefactor in the club.
Thanks to the generosity of our membership we surpassed this goal last year.
I look forward to getting to know all of our members throughout this Rotary year.
I am excited for District 7610 to continue to get to know our club and the many
projects we are involved in. Thank you in advance for all that you have done and
will do to make the e-club successful.
Let us all work together to Be the Inspiration and have a wonderful year in Rotary.
